My family and I had an amazing weekend stay here! The instructions were clear and concise, the house was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need. My only complaint is it was cold downstairs in the house even with the heat on I’m assuming due to the damaged fire place but would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay. only about 20 minutes from the attractions but tucked away and secluded. There is 1 neighboring house but compared to other places you could stay that is nothing. Would stay again.

The mountain escape house was great. Very clean and comfortable. With 7 of us staying it was a much better experiance then getting multiple hotel rooms. All the amenities youll need to cook, clean , socialize and relax. Multiple fire pits, large 2nd story deck, pool table, and propane grills if you want to bbq outside. It is not far from anything like others have said. Like 15 minutes to center of town, swallows falls state park, deep creek lake. Was a real good time for me and my family. It was more then we needed would have loved to stay a whole week.

This was our first time staying in a cabin and a place like this. The spacious cabin is great for a family with multiple bedrooms & a pool table for games. The cabin is pretty secluded, in that it’s about 25 minutes from restaurants and shops but if a secluded retreat is what you’re looking for, this cabin will be great. We saw a bobcat, wild turkeys, & deer roam through our section. The beds were creaky, so if you have a light sleeper, they might find the comfy couch a great alternative. The WiFi was pretty slow during our stay so we used our hotspot when we needed to connect to the internet. This was definitely an adventure for our suburban family!

This house is in the mountains and what you would expect to see. The kitchen is very well stocked with cutlery, plates/bowls, cookware, 2 coffee makers and plenty of counter space. For me, the beds were not comfortable but the linen was crisp and clean and the blankets were cozy. We enjoyed both fire pits, made use of the grill and played some games that we found in the closet. I’m addition to spending the day on the lake tubing, had a picnic at Herrington (but got rained out) and walked the trail at Swallow Falls. The view is across the street and it’s stunning. We had a great time and we would recommend staying at Mountain Escape.
