Excellent little cabin on a quiet road. Remote, but still less than ten minutes from gas/food/town. Had all the amenities we needed and the dog loved running around the property.

Lovely little cottage. Very clean and as described. We had no WiFi which was both a blessing and a curse. A little further out than I’d expected but a 20 minute drive to most of the places we wanted to visit. Overall, Great stay!

Cottage was as described. The area is fantastic. The bathroom is not as small as some reviews make it seem. I’m 6ft 240 pounds and fit the shower and toilet fine. Full kitchen and grill made for some great meals.
Warning to all city slickers not accustom to well water. Bring lots of water for drinking and cooking.
This was a great place to stay. Appalachian cottage it absolutely was. If you want all the luxuries stay at The Woodlands. If you want quiet relaxation stay at Blue Goose.

Didn’t realize they only had one fan to supply the whole place when it was around 80 degrees out the whole weekend we visited! Fun and quaint little place. Read other peoples’ reviews and the bathroom was indeed small, which was fine since I’m a tiny person. But the mirror was oddly super high for it being a smaller bathroom (I’m 4’10” and couldn’t use the mirror unless I stood on a stool). The surrounding trails and stuff to do was fun but wish we would’ve had more time!

Come for the location, (20-30 minutes from Deep Creek Lake in one direction, Ohiopyle in the other) stay for the property (fire pit, gas grill, gurgling stream, ample porch, picnic table). Truly a gorgeous place. The only drawback we found was the bathroom, where my ample rear could not fit on the seat, and the tight shower, where my random elbows kept popping the door ajar. Not a problem with the space, obviously, but a caution to any bigger folks.

This was great place for a quick getaway weekend. We spent most of our weekend relaxing with a fire and walked the trails along the property. The owners were quick to respond. We brought our dog, whom they left a treat bag and toy for.

The Blue Goose Cabin was AMAZING! Set on beautiful, quiet property nestled in the woods near multiple creeks, it was the perfect place to have a fantastic weekend getaway! We drove 30 minutes to go see Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater and it was a scenic, easy drive to and from! The cabin is surrounded by beautiful woods and the property has a map with several trails if you feel like hiking. We definitely recommend doing so as there are some amazing creeks throughout the trail! It is also located about 30 minutes from Ohiopyle State Park as well which has multiple natural attractions such as Cucumber Falls and another Frank Lloyd Wright house called Kentuck Knob! We would definitely stay here again! It was quiet, clean, and cozy! Highly recommend!
